Contact management is one of the powerful features of office Outlook with the help of which contact information of number of people can be stored and organized. Contact folder contains these contacts and acts as input data for mail merge feature. With this it is easy to insert user detail in files of Microsoft word. Sometimes while doing so, outlook users might face problems and ultimately the task of adding contact to mail merge document could not be done. It is because of the corruption of outlook profile or the PST file.

To resolve the problem you can do the following
- By installing Microsoft data access components (MDAC) 2.8 SP1 associated components issue can be fixed
- Creating a new profile and then deleting the previous one
